Bearings/Beam Seats Dialog
Opens when Bearings/Beam Seats is selected in the Substructure group.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Support location | This drop down list will show all Pier/Abutment Locations. |
Configuration | Single or Double bearing line will be assigned automatically, single bearing line if bearing line has defined one member group, double if bearing line holds two member groups. Begin and end supports can have only one bearing line. |
Eccentricity from CL of cap | Eccentricity represents offset from current center line selected/available |
Number of bearings | I-girder can have only one bearing line. Tub-girder can have one or two bearings, depending on user preference. |
Auto compute beam seat thickness to keep top of cap straight | Option will auto compute beam seat thickness depending on slope of cross section to keep top of cap straight |
Save DGN | The following button will export the Bearings/Beam Seats 2D model directly and accurately to Microstation DGN file format, including layers. Save the DGN file in the desired location and once the export is successful you can browse to file location and open/view in Microstation. |
Bearing Line | Option will show bearing line that is used by supports |
Bearing Name | Bearing name will be assigned automatically (i.e. B01,B02,…) |
Distance from previous point | Distance will be automatically computed depending on previous location |
Distance from left edge | Option will show bearing distance from left edge of pile cap |
Width | Enter width of selected bearing |
Depth | Enter depth of selected bearing |
Thickness | Enter thickness of selected bearing |
Seat W1 | Enter width for left half of seat |
Seat W2 | Enter width for right half of seat |
Seat D1 | Enter left half seat depth of Bearing |
Seat D2 | Enter right half seat depth of Bearing |
